BPI Building Science Principles

Gain the knowledge you need to be successful as a home performance professional or energy auditor. During this introductory course, you'll learn how the systems in a home work together to affect energy use, thermal comfort, and indoor air quality.

To earn this certificate, you simply have to pass a 100-question multiple choice exam with a score of at least 70%.

This course is approved for 4 BPI CEUs.

  

BPI Building Analyst Technician & Professional

Develop the skills to diagnose home performance issues and conduct comprehensive residential energy audits. This training covers the principles of building science, how homes operate as systems, and hands-on use of diagnostic tools such as blower doors and combustion analyzers to identify efficiency, comfort, and safety issues. Participants will be prepared to pursue the Building Analyst Technician and Building Analyst Professional certifications through the Building Performance Institute (BPI).
