NATE Certification is achieved through a series of tests to certify professionals in one or more specialty areas. The tests, which total 21, are divided into installation, service, and senior technician paths with specialties ranging from Air Conditioning and Air Distribution to Oil Furnaces and Commercial Refrigeration.
