Who is this class intended for?
This class is intended for Verification Partners, including RESNET HERS Raters and Field Inspectors, who must individually complete ENERGY STAR Version 3 Rater Training through an Accredited Training Provider such as Everblue Training.
How do I become a RESNET HERS Rater?
Home Energy Raters (also known as HERS Raters) are trained and certified through the Residential Energy Services Network (RESNET); Everblue Training is a recognized Training Provider for RESNET. Once you are a RESNET-certified Home Energy Rater, you are eligible to earn the ENERGY STAR v3 Certification and become a Verification Partner.
Will this class count towards RESNET Continuing Education?
Yes, this class counts for 18 RESNET CEUs.
Is the ENERGY STAR v3 training approved for BPI CEUs?
Are RESNET RFIs eligible for ENERGY STAR v3 Certification?
Yes, RFIs are eligible by taking this course and passing the exam.
Does this training apply to the ENERGY STAR v3.1 standard?
Yes, the main difference between the Version 3 and the Version 3.1 standards is simply the Energy Rating Index score target for the house in question. Also, be sure to check which IECC version has been adopted in your state and whether the home in question was permitted before or after January 1, 2023.
