Everblue Approved as Related Technical Instruction Provider for Virginia Apprenticeships

Everblue, a leader in professional training and certification, has been officially recognized by the Virginia Department of Workforce Development and Advancement as a Related Technical Instruction provider (RTI) for Registered Apprenticeship programs.

The approval specifically covers two key occupations in the energy efficiency sector:

1. Energy Specialist (RAPIDS Code 2005; O*Net Code 47-4011)

2. Weatherization Technician (RAPIDS Codes 2004 and 2004HY; O*Net Code 47-4099)

Everblue’s curriculum has been meticulously designed to exceed industry standards:

– Total Instruction Hours: 164 hours, surpassing the minimum requirement of 144 hours

– Stackable Industry Credentials: The program includes valuable certifications such as:

  – BPI Building Science Principles

  – BPI Building Analyst Technician

  – BPI Building Analyst Professional

  – BPI Infiltration and Duct Leakage

  – HEP Energy Auditor

  – HEP Quality Control Inspector

The approval, effective July 10, 2024, confirms that Everblue’s curriculum meets and exceeds the standards for Related Technical Instruction as set forth in Virginia §40.1-118 and §40.1-120, 16VAC20-20-10, and The Code of Federal Regulations 29 CFR Part 29.5(4)i/ii.

The Virginia Department of Workforce Development and Advancement’s evaluation highlighted several key strengths of Everblue’s program:

– Curriculum sourced from credentialed professionals and organizations

– Industry-standard best practices

– Alignment with on-the-job skill competencies

– Instruction by experienced professional experts with relevant credentials

– Robust documentation of apprentice completion via certificates or transcripts
